Brazil established, Thursday (3), the National REDD + Strategy (ENREDD +), through MMA Ordinance No. 370. The announcement was made by Ministry of Environment (MMA). In accordance with the MMA, with this step the country complies with the requirement Last Known to have their results of REDD + recognized under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC, its acronym in English).

According to MMA, Brazilian results from reducing emissions from deforestation in the Amazon for the period 2006 until 2010 They were fully monitored, reported and verified and totaled 2,971 Gt CO2e, equivalent to more than double the total Brazilian emissions estimated for the year 2012.

Recognition materialized with the launch of Lima REDD + Information Hub (or Info Hub), at an event held at COP-21, em Paris, France. The digital platform compiles the documentation to the technical requirements for the recognition of results and information relating to payments received results, donors such as, rising etc.. The tool is considered a key to bring transparency to the international system driving and accompanying REDD + actions worldwide. The Info Hub is hosted by REDD + web platform UNFCCC.
