Latin American institutions in alliance to implementation of ODS

8 of May of 2017 - Alliance aims to promote the exchange of experiences and sustainable solutions among Latin American institutions

 

In the days 3 until 4 de maio, the Solution Network for Sustainable Development in the Amazon (SDSN-Amazon), secretary by the Amazonas Sustainable Foundation (FAS) and in partnership with the Brazilian Association of State Environmental Entities (and stood) and National Association of State Authorities (ANAAE), promoted in Tumbira community, Black River RDS, the exchange between Latin American institutions to the objectives of Sustainable Development (SDSN). This meeting is the result of meeting at COP 13 Biodiversity, held in December 2016 in the city of Cancun, Mexico.

This meeting held on the banks of the Rio Negro, community Tumbira, Alianza Latinoamericana arises 2030 (Letter Tumbira: Um call to action), where he expressed the conviction and support of national governments to the implementation of Agenda 2030 for sustainable development by subnational institutions and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), signed by SDSN-Amazon, ANAAE, and stood, FAS, Natura Bolivia (Bolivia) and Amazónicos by Amazon (AMPA – PerU); com to Observação of Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (OTCA), Banco de Desenvolvimento da América Latina (CAF) and Institute of Amazonas State Environmental Protection (IPAAM).

The alliance aims to strengthen cooperation between Latin American institutions to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDSN) and aims to promote the exchange of experiences of sustainable solutions among institutions, and improve public policies in the region where the institutions act.
