The Amazon Theater, the historic center of Manaus, will host the events of the opening week celebrating 10 years of activities of the Amazonas Sustainable Foundation (FAS). The band Amazonas Jazz Band starts the celebrations with a free concert on Thursday (22), open to the public from 20h, with limited spaces. The event is a partnership with the Secretary of State for Culture (SEC).

"These solutions is an example of innovative technology with very significant social impact by reducing water-related diseases. The FAS and partners believe and invest in the potential for the development of innovative solutions for sustainable development. "

The event will mark the beginning of a week of action to discuss sustainability in the region, involving partners, institutions of civil society and international organizations. Taking income generation initiatives, improving the quality of life for about 40 thousand riparian within the state, FAS in their place 10 years still promoting a week of action to discuss sustainability in the region, involving partners, institutions of civil society and international organizations.

"We came to 10 years with the feeling of having done work with significant results, with concrete impact on improving the quality of life of coastal communities and the conservation of the forests of the Amazon ", says the general superintendent of FAS, Virgilio Viana.

On Friday, day 23, Book will be released FAS 10 years, which recounts the first steps, the achievements and the challenges to sustainability in the Amazon, hearing stories of coastal residents of remote areas of the region. The book was written by journalist Sérgio Adeodato, in partnership with the General Superintendent of the Foundation, Virgilio Viana.

In the days 25 until 26, an expedition to the Black River to visit the projects served by the Foundation will be held, and will be conducting a presentation of the renowned cello soloist in the Orchestra of the Norwegian National Opera, Gustavo Tavares.

Next week, days 27, 28 until 29, the foundation, even the week of celebrations to 10 years of inauguration, hold thematic seminars on inter-religious dialogue on the future of the Amazon, small scale production of bottled, green economy and indigenous peoples in the Amazon.
