19 the December the 2018 - On Tuesday, day 18, technical institutions and participating schools gathered to see the results of the EDK, tool capable of applying teaching evaluations in offline mode

Application assessed over 1 thousand children from the capital

On Tuesday, day 18, professional Sidia, Amazonas Sustainable Foundation (FAS) and Semed - Manaus (Municipal Manaus Education) They gathered to present the results of the investments made by the EDK project 13 Manaus public schools this year. Also present were teachers of educational institutions participating. The project had the support of the Monitoring and Evaluation Division (DAM) and Primary Education Division (DEF) the Semed - Manaus.

The EDK is a platform of child educational diagnosis able to apply teaching evaluations in the offline mode and deliver immediate results. In total were evaluated 1008 students from Manaus. With the information obtained in the evaluations, teachers will be ready to plan a qualified educational intervention, offering a reinforcement in each highlighted skill.

The result of the tests by the Literacy Management Program (PGA) pointed out that only 11% Students are able to identify plane figures and 20% able to solve problems involving subtraction. Already the Performance Assessment Student (ADE) pointed out that only 39% Students are able to solve problems involving multiplication, for example. All teachers received the printed report and have access to the platform for more details on the 33 measured skills in each event.

The EDK allows you to create and apply any assessment in digital format, by tablet. The fix is instantaneous and the data is saved in the cloud, where managers and teachers can access, via web, Intelligent reports that help to identify the difficulty of each student based on the result. The reports bring a current picture of the student's skills from an array reference.

Without the help of tools like EDK, to elaborate, apply and correct assessments as Brazil or ANA Test and then manually create reports from the results are extremely exhaustive task, involving many people and may not be as effective due to delay handing over diagnosis.

"The objective of this project is to give a small contribution to solve the big problem in Brazil's education system. According to Unesco, in 2013, only 3,6% of public school students finish elementary school with advanced skills in reading. We want this tool can give the teacher, mapping the difficulties of the students to create customized educational interventions. "points out Ronaldo Mussa, Solutions Product Manager & UX not Sidia.

Currently, the project is in the third stage and has benefited over 1.364 public school students. The FAS SEMED and collaborate with the creation of new modules and the next step is to expand its use in other states that have the same difficulties through the education departments and other partners.
