The visit aimed to assess the implementation of the Amazon Fund resources for sustainable actions.

One such initiative is the Bolsa Floresta (BFP), a public policy designed and implemented by the Amazonas Sustainable Foundation (FAS) that rewards riparian and indigenous residents of PAs for taking committed against forest clearing. The superintendent-general of FAS, Virgilio Viana, He stressed the importance of support from the German bank KfW to sustainable actions in the Amazon. "The FAS supports the tourism activity from the beginning. When we started the community-based tourism here only had the house (pousada) Garrido. Now grown and are three families, with three hotels. We want to make tourism an important activity for the region's future and hope that our visitors, the Germans, can take home the message that this is a special place ".

The representative of the Amazon Fund, Angela Albernaz Skaf, also accompanied the visit of the KfW delegation.

At the end of the visit of the delegation of the bank KfW, German tourists and the residents of the riverside community of Tumbira were able to attend, together, presenting a spectacle of Amazonas Guitar Orchestra (OVAM), as part of the program of the 22nd Festival Amazonas Opera (FAO), promoted by the Government of Amazonas, through the Secretary of State for Culture (SEC).

Retired Raimundo Alves Anterio, from 72 years, resident of Tumbira, He watched for the first time in his life the presentation of an orchestra. "I found it wonderful.
