Two tons of tambaqui managed Sustainable Development Reserve (Reserve) Mamirauá, in the Middle Solimões region, They will be sold to the from 8am this Saturday (15), in Manaus, at the headquarters of the Amazonas Sustainable Foundation (FAS), The red Alvaro Braga, number 351, Ten Park neighborhood, in the Central South zone of the capital. Prices will vary according to the size of the fish, from R $ 9 a R$ 17 o quilo.

The action, developed in partnership with FAS, allows the population of Manaus managed buy fish directly with producers, without the involvement of middlemen or distributors. The sale encourages the management of fish and generates income to fishers families living in coastal communities such as the RDS Mamirauá, a Conservation Unit (UC) where acts FAS.

The river tambaquis will be sold according to the weight by following a price list. The fish up 4,999 kg will be sold at R $ 9 o quilo; the fish 5 a 6,999 kilos the price paid will be R $ 11 / kg; from 7 a 10,999 kilograms the amount will be US $ 14 / kg; and weighing tambaquis 11 until 15,999 kg leave for $ 17 / kg. The fish are produced in rivers and lakes in the RDS Mamirauá, in rural Fonte Boa, town hall 678 kilometers from Manaus, in the Middle Solimões region, with authorization from the Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama) and the Secretary of State for the Environment (Sema), and with the support of the Bolsa Floresta (BFP), por meio do Fundo Amazônia/BNDES.
