FAS is honored in the Legislative Assembly by acting in riverside communities

5 June 2019 - Organization received recognition for promoting environmental conservation actions, sustainable development and improving the quality of life of traditional populations in protected areas. Action is part of SAP's Environment Week

The Amazonas Sustainable Foundation (FAS) He received a tribute of Amazonas Legislative Assembly (ALE-AM) by acting in riverine communities of the State. The non-governmental organization was recognized for promoting environmental conservation actions, sustainable development and improvement of population quality of life in protected areas (UC) do Amazonas. Action is part of SAP's Environment Week.

The tribute was delivered on Tuesday (4) the chairman of the Environment Committee, Animal Protection and Sustainable Development, Mrs Joana Darc (PR), during the Environment Week of the institution, in allusion to the World Environment Day, 5 June. O President of ALE, Mr Joshua Neto (PSD), Secretary of State for the Environment (Sema), Eduardo Taveira, and Mr Fausto Junior (PV) also attended the ceremony. At the time, other institutions were also honored.

The Sustainable Development superintendent of FAS, Valcléia Solidade, and the superintendent of Innovation and Institutional Development, Victor Salviati, received homage. "It is a recognition of the work that the FAS performs. We heard several testimonies, including Deputy Fausto, who visited one of our structures in Novo Aripuana (Juma Reserve). It was beautiful to see the way demonstrated the importance of FAS and the work we promote ", said Valcléia Solidade.

The FAS is a Brazilian non-governmental non-profit organization whose mission is to promote sustainable development, environmental conservation and improving the quality of life of coastal and indigenous communities living in the Amazon Protected Areas. The role of FAS in protected areas receive technical cooperation Sema and resources of the Amazon Fund / BNDES, in addition to the support and partnership of companies and institutions.
