Prices range from $ 9 a kilo of tambaqui to 4,9 kg; R$ 11 a kilo of tambaqui to 6,9 kg; R$ 14 a kilo of tambaqui to 10,9 kg; and R$ 16 the above alkyl tambaqui 11 kilos.

All tambaqui on sale benefits families of fishermen of Newfoundland community, in the municipality of Fonte Boa, a 678 kilometers from Manaus, within Mamirauá, in the Middle Solimões region. The marketing, which is coordinated by the Association of Residents and Users of the RDS Mamirauá Antonio Martins (Amurmam), encourages the productive chain of fish handling and generates direct income for fishermen, since the product does not go through middlemen or distributors and profit gets riparian.

The sale of fish handled in Manaus also happens through FAS support and encouragement of fishermen's associations working in protected areas (UC) do Amazonas, in strategic cooperation with the Secretary of State for the Environment (Sema).
