Created 2014 column FAS, Integral Development Program for Children and Adolescents in the Amazon Riparian (Dicara) desenvolve ações voltadas à garantia dos direitos de crianças e adolescentes de Unidades de Conservação (UC) in Amazonas.

The focus of the program is facing the local communities, looking face challenges of social vulnerability as truancy, less access to quality education, digital and cultural exclusion, domestic violence, sexual and child labor exploitation and lack of information on citizenship and rights.

The dicara receives support from Banco Bradesco, Videolar-Innova, Natura, EMS e Edenred, investing part of the income tax to the Municipal Fund for Children and Adolescents (FUMCAD) of each municipality. The action also has the support of Samsung.

CITIZENSHIP FOR CHILDREN REMOTE COMMUNITIES

The dicara seeks to promote citizenship and provide access to computers, music, sports and leisure through courses, as well as basic guidelines of citizenship and health care. The program's activities serve free young people between seven and 17 years, in partnership with the Municipal Councils for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (Cmdca).

 

On 2017, the program was focused on reorganizing its implementation methodology, expanding its impact. For this, bet on the expansion of partnerships and the development of actions aimed at youth empowerment, health in early childhood and social assistance. The 1.298 children attended, 348 studied music, 320 did the computer course, 234 learned crafts and 396 studied environmental education.

The dicara also sought to develop new projects to expand its coverage area and meet more people. In this sense, the project began to serve not only the rural municipalities, but also focused its action in urban areas of the municipalities in which it operates.
