Award Turn Manaus

 

The Movement Turn Manaus, in partnership with the Amazonas Sustainable Foundation (FAS), Impact Hub Manaus and Solutions Network for the Amazon Sustainable Development (SDSN-Amazon), They launched on Tuesday (14) the first prize Turn Manaus. The initiative aims to support and disseminate initiatives of organizations or people that significantly improve the city towards sustainable development.

Second Paula Gabriel, who coordinates the Manaus FAS Schedule, the award came to vent the findings initiatives in Sustainable Virada Manaus.

“The two Last Tipping issues we had about 500 volunteers engaged in more than 300 activities and initiatives to improve the city. With such a significant number, We did not want to wait until the next edition of the event to encourage these ideas”, said.

Initiatives will be awarded in three categories, which should be linked to the objectives of Sustainable Development (SDSN):

Cheers – sanitation, waste, preventive medicine, feed, education;

Culture – appreciation of local culture, fairs, teatro, music, education;

Public and Environmental Spaces – urban mobility, squares, parks, ecological corridors, education.

Registration for the prize will be open until the day 19 March 2017 and must be made by completing a form on the link above. Interested parties can submit their ideas in one of three categories, as the amount needed for the project implementation: categoria Jaraqui (R$500 a R$1.000), Tambaqui (R$1.001 a R$2.000) and Pirarucu (R$2.001 a R$5.000). The initiatives will be evaluated by a committee formed by experts in the fields: Andrea Waichman (Fapeam), Denis Minev (Grupo Bemol/Fogás), Fabio Deboni (Sabin Institute), Inês Daou (IAI Promotions), Laurent Troost (Implurb), Marcio Lira Silva (sell) e Virgilio Viana (FAS).
